I joined Rotork's Services Department in June 2003.

I started my career doing after sales service to maintain the product reliability at site. During that time, I opted to service oil & gas plant onshore and offshore facilities throughout Peninsular and West Coast sea of Malaysia.

The experience that I gained during my service with Rotork has been priceless. I have met new friends and been to places where most people are not allowed to go. This role enabled me to build my confidence and develop my skills.

In 2006 I transferred to the Sales Department and I became a Sales Engineer. In this role my work differed and I went to different environments; this was the biggest challenge for me as an ex-service engineer. I went on a Soft Skills training course that was conducted by my local office and it motivated me to improve. The support I received from management also helped me a great deal and they were exceptional mentors.

During 2010 I was promoted to Area Sales Manager looking after the oil & gas market for Rotork Malaysia. The experience I have gained since 2003 has been fully utilised, my team and I help each other to secure major projects including some overseas projects with the support of our partner. During my time at Rotork I have seen the sales grow and the communication between the different Rotork offices become more frequent. With a true global market presence, Rotork people speak to each other all the time and I feel like I have friends everywhere in the world!

My time at Rotork has been really good and hopefully I will get to meet more Rotork people around the world.
