Global HR Trainee

After completing my undergraduate degree in Business and Economics, I went on to study a postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management at Glasgow Caledonian University. Upon graduating, I joined Rotork as a Global HR Graduate in 2012.

As part of my initial induction, I spent one or two days in each department to gain familiarity with how Rotork operates. These department visits often provided hands-on experience that gave me a genuine insight into the processes that create our products.

The Global HR role itself involves supporting the HR director in developing and implementing HR systems, programmes, tasks and resources. In my short time with Rotork, I have already been given responsibility in a number of HR areas including; HR systems, training, and performance management. Rotork has employees in more than 30 countries which makes my Global HR role exciting and varied with each day presenting new challenges.

What strikes me most about Rotork is the friendly and supportive atmosphere created by its employees. The majority of employees have been at Rotork for a long time which is testament to the career progression opportunities and enjoyable working environment it provides.
