Position Summary:

The ELearning Designer reports to the Global Training and Development Manager within the Group HR function. This is a team leader position of a small, growing, team. Working with learning and development colleagues, senior stakeholders and subject matters experts to design, develop and deploy on line learning solutions that meet our training and development needs, across a culturally and geographically diverse organisation.

Location: Principally Bath. Must be in commuting distance of Bath.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Management of one direct report
  • Carrying out effective learning needs analysis, establishing success criteria and return on investment (ROI) through effective relationship management and consultation
  • Working collaboratively with the rest of the L&D team you will support the design and build of on line training courses across the Group. This will include managing eLearning projects from initial scoping of learning objectives through to building these into a learning management system (LMS)
  • Manage and develop the existing Learner Management System (LMS) including training records
  • Manage, maintain and develop the central On Line Technical Academy to provide consistent, quality resources
  • Actively promote online content to increase adoption including the use of virtual classrooms and web conferencing

Candidate Specification:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a Multi Media or Information Technology based qualification
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Experience with the creation of and successful launch of engaging and interactive ELearning interventions
  • Have previous experience of using multimedia authoring tools, particularly Camtasia, Articulate, Storyline and GIMP
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive attitude
