Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Bolt assemblies together per instructions
  • Tube assemblies as instructed
  • Calibrate instruments and assemblies
  • Interface with customer/reps to provide technical support
  • Provide technical support to Engineering for R&D projects
  • Provide technical support to Sales for quoting
  • Provide Quality Control in mechanical assembly
  • Keep shop clean
  • Other duties as assigned

Candidate Specification:


  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Mechanical and pneumatic troubleshooting of valve automation and damper drive assemblies, electrical troubleshooting of control and power circuits using 4-20 mA and 24 VDC to 460 VAC three-phase power
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Problem solving skills

Language Ability:

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write replies to correspondence and memos


  • High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience with mechanical assembly and instrumentation

Math Ability:

  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure
  • Convert units, understand fractions and decimals, and compute ratios

Print Reading Ability:

  • Ability to interpret schematics and bill of materials from a blue print
