Engineering Manager, Pennsylvania, USA
I chose to become a mechanical engineer because I’ve always enjoyed the science of physics and the challenge of solving problems. With Rotork I have the opportunity to learn something new every day and find innovative solutions. In my work I get to develop new products, then see them built and operated.
For me, it’s about providing solutions to a customer’s problem that can effect a positive change in their everyday lives. One such solution replaced a device the customer had installed for 40 years but which none of our competitors would support. Right now we are qualifying through dynamic testing, a new prototype actuator with a lower weight, smaller envelope dimensions and expanded functionality for use in EPR and AP1000/CAP1400 applications.
It’s an exciting time to work for Rotork.
