Position Summary
The Business Development Manager has the exciting opportunity as the key stakeholder for designing and executing a strategic plan to enhance our Rotork’s position with the selected clients.
The Opportunity
Customer facing role to work collaboratively with all Rotork stakeholders to achieve sales growth across a small number of LNG Operators, all head-quartered in Texas & Louisiana to position Rotork as the preferred partner for flow control solutions in this market segment.
Experience Requirements
- Higher technical qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Proven sales and business development ability with commercial awareness and the ability to effect and implement sales strategies across a matrix organisation.
- Previous experience of working in the process and automation industry, ideally with knowledge of actuation / valve automation, and ideally with a good knowledge of the global Oil & Gas market.
- Ability to translate market requirements into products, solutions and technical arguments for customers.
The Successful Candidate
- An effective communicator at all levels, with strong negotiation ability to influence the delivery of positive outcomes. Strong written communication skills to enable effective reporting that concisely identifies key issues.
- Experience in business development and client facing activities with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions.
- An understanding of the commercial aspects of Oil & Gas projects would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated strong commitment to exceptional customer service with a proactive approach and evidence of leading business development, developing competitive strategies and winning new customers.
- Solid numerical ability (able to prepare accurate commercial proposals)
