Inside Sales Supervisor

Position Summary:

Supervisory responsibility for all Inside Sales activities and customer contact from the date a RFQ is received through handoff of purchase order to Rotork contracts department, while maintaining the systems and procedures. Successful candidate will be responsible for developing quotations and proposals for all Rotork divisions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as a working supervisor and participate in generating quotations as needed
  • Work to ensure quotations are being priced correctly as well as meeting customer and/or project requirements/specifications 
  • Manage and handle high profile quotations as directed
  • Primary point of contact for the Inside Sales Team 
  • Directly responsible for managing the inside sales functions, while ensuring the staff is properly trained and utilizing appropriate best practices and procedures
  • Interpret and turn customer RFQs in a timely and accurate manner
  • Selecting the size and best fit Rotork product for the customer application
  • Coordination and communication with ASMs and Management 
  • Interacting with engineering, RSS and Rotork factories to meet customer needs
  • Effective internal communication to inform appropriate persons of milestone events
  • Monitoring the order review process to ensure clean files reach Contracts 
  • Routine quote log maintenance
  • Track and ensure RFQ’s are actioned accurately and on time
  • Prioritize needs and requests for the department
  • Development and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators and reporting up as required and developing continuous improvement plans 
  • Develop and motivate direct reporting staff; conduct hands-on training and ensure team development
  • Through personal drive, influence and leadership skills, develop a cohesive and motivated team 
  • Execute a timely and effective continuous feedback performance review process
  • Manage employee time utilization to meet customer needs
  • Effectively communicate departmental and company requirements
  • Create a positive uplifting work environment

Candidate Specification:

  • Basic proficiency in MTMS or similar MRP/ERP system
  • Min 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with heavy inside sales exposure or equivalent 
  • Four year technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven supervisory and leadership skills, excellent mentoring and team building abilities, the ability to relate to and influence all levels of an organization 
  • Able to operate at all levels as needed. Demonstrated desire to do "what it takes" to grow the division including performing tasks when needed that would normally be delegated 
  • Familiar with the requirements of operating to a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment 
  • Good change management skills and knowledge
  • Precise and highly accurate in a fast paced sales organization
  • Enjoys solving customer problems and providing solution based selling

Functional/ Technical Competencies:

  • Sound technical knowledge of Rotork products along with industry specific knowledge
  • Serve as a technical advisor for the team
