Key Account Manager

Position Summary:

The Key Account Manager is a senior sales position reporting directly to RFS Sales Director. The two main Objectives of the position are first, to short term input growth of the US region and second act as the point of reference for the other sales individuals in the region on consultative selling, with the aim of having in all of them consultative selling experts. The position will be dotted line to the RGM for administrative purposes, like expenses approvals, reporting, etc.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the promotion of RFS products in the assigned accounts
  • Provide the full service to the targeted accounts acting as a consultor, and being a key part of Rotork value proposition
  • Follow up projects bidding and communicate internally and externally on time to maximize Rotork chance of winning at increased margins
  • Use your technical knowledge to influence specification selling
  • Agree commercial terms in the orders following Rotork terms of sales with the aim of maximizing profit and reducing risk as possible
  • Be the point of reference for the other sales colleagues on consultative selling, training them as needed, using coaching techniques as open questions on day to day basis in his/her communication with them, with the last goal of growing RFS selling expertise in US

Candidate Specification:

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical & Electrical Integration
  • More than three years channel sales experiences of valve and actuation products, specific to the oil & gas industry
  • Well versed in the principles of mechanical engineering, process / discrete industrial automation and flow control
  • Proven experience working with end users (EPC, engineering firms, etc.)
  • Fluency in oral and written English
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Honesty, maturity, diligence, clear-mind, sense of responsibility, recognition of corporate culture, stress tolerance, team spirit and other basic professional quality

  • Leadership - To inspire and motivate other sales colleagues towards consultative way of selling RFS products, supporting them in their development
