Lead Architect

Position Summary:

The Opportunity

As we move towards a Microsoft first organisation we embark on a Global IT transformation project replacing a large number of heritage systems with MS Dynamics 365 for ERP, CRM and HR. As the Lead Architect you’ll be responsible for managing our current technology as well as GAP initiatives, managing Rotork’s global technical strategy, architecture and data management services to enable Rotork to achieve its business objectives.

Acting as the technical authority for the Group IT function, responsible for technical, application, information and business architectures. Lead the engagement with external consultants and vendors to deliver appropriate toolsets, data and processes to meet business and functional requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Defining and documenting the current and future state architectures, ensuring technology investments are aligned to future operating needs
  • Developing a technical strategy that considers the Rotork business plan and global footprint, recognising external good practice and new technology developments
  • Rolling out an enterprise-wide data governance framework, with a focus on policies, principles, standards and metrics
  • Responsibility of Rotork IT architecture roadmaps and ensuring they evolve to meet changing business demands
  • Providing assurance that IT solutions meet architecture principles for business, application, data and technology
  • Leading, managing and developing the architecture team

Experience Requirements:

  • Degree or relevant qualification in Computer Science Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline
  • TOGAF certified
  • Knowledge of managing and implementing EA toolsets e.g. LeanIX (preference)
  • Deep understanding of emerging technology platforms and solutions-service capabilities
  • Deep technical knowledge of current enterprise data and analytic platforms, technologies and data tools
  • Extensive experience with Statistical Packages, Big Data Storage Platforms and Cloud computing concepts
  • Broad technical knowledge of Microsoft ERP (D365),CRM, Power BI, Applications and Azure Cloud services
  • Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics
