The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to be part of the team developing and implementing a new ERP system (Microsoft D365) across our global network of factories and selling / service entities. You will bring your operations & manufacturing experience to a team consisting of IT, engineering and other operations professionals to deliver this transformational project. 

You will develop best practice processes for manufacturing, manufacturing engineering and for interactions between Engineering and Operations. The developed processes will take the best of proven internal practices and external excellence. As part of this work you will develop a road map and implement a practical application of Industry 4.0.

The initial focus of the role will support the development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 to deliver the essential business processes for the pilot implementation before moving onto process and system enhancements alongside the global roll-out.

Responsibilities:

Develop shared business and D365 processes for areas including:

    • Generation of standard and attribute based routings, routing change management, and differences between facilities
    • Integration with manufacturing processes and systems
    • Manufacturing introduction of new products (product release and the impact to people and processes)
    • Operations BOM management
    • Engineering change
    • Presentation of standard work / work instructions

  • Develop the strategy and implement our future Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
  •  
  • Develop and implement a practical application of Industry 4.0

 

Experience Requirements:

Essential:

  • Experience in an Operations or Manufacturing Engineering leadership or specialist role for a business manufacturing complex configured or engineered to order products
  • Detailed understanding of ERP and processes within manufacturing and between manufacturing and engineering
  • Operations process development and change leadership

Desirable:

  • Educated to degree or equivalent level in an engineering or operations discipline
  • Experienced in the introduction of a new ERP system into a manufacturing operation
  • Introduction and/or operation and improvement of Microsoft D365 in manufacturing
