We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Manager to be at the heart of a successful and growing business and ideal for those with the desire to lead and steer a site towards Rotork’s business goals.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be accountable for setting and achieving production targets while effectively and efficiently managing operations that include production scheduling, material management, supply chain, purchasing, quality, HSE and production (assembly and test).

You’ll be responsible for planning, organising and managing all manufacturing related functions in order to achieve the highest levels of quality and customer service in a safe, efficient and timely manner utilising the proven lean and continuous improvement techniques to ensure the achievement of Rotork’s business goals.

As the Plant Manager you'll meet major operational KPI’s, reporting them within the local plant and wider Rotork Group. You’ll be involved in business meetings where presentations of best practice is required. You will also have other executive management responsibilities including yearly and quarterly budget planning, capital budgeting, salary planning, payment approvals and other ad-hoc activities.

About You

As a results-driven, self-motivated individual you will have proven supervisory and managerial experience within a manufacturing environment. You’ll have had exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or other formal productivity improvement programs. Having Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt would be advantageous.

You’ll have solid, people-oriented management skills with the ability to lead and motivate individuals and the team as a whole. You’ll also have experience of dealing with the relocation of a business, product line introduction, restructuring or a change of ownership. Due to the nature of our business it is likely that the successful candidate will have a varied background in managing supply chain, quality, dispatch, assembly and machine shop within a matrix organisation.
