About the role:
Due to growth and the introduction of circa 200 new products in the machine shop, we’re looking for a results-driven Quality Engineer to become a key member of the Quality Department to facilitate the growth, maturity and robustness of the quality management system.
You will be integral in controlling the quality requirement for the introduction of new production lines and products, developing structures and analysis to improve existing and future manufacturing quality.
Working closely with the operations, you’ll be actively involved in root cause identification, corrective and preventative action using a variety of techniques such as CAPA methodology, 7 tools of quality, 8D problem solving tools, is/is not, 5 Why’s etc. As the Quality Engineer you will be expected to improve first time pass rates by implementing methodologies for establishing “Cost of Quality” and “Right First Time”.
You will be quality minded with strong experience as a Quality Engineer within the machining industry in a prescriptive working environment such as Oil & Gas, aerospace, automotive etc. We are open to candidates with a degree or apprenticeship providing it is coupled with relevant quality experience using RCA and quality tools and a thorough understanding of the manufacturing process. You will have also good understanding of NDT, Chemical and Physical processing, as well as CNC Machining and CMM inspection. Experience within the PUMP industry will be advantageous.
