Regional Supply Chain Manager

Position Summary

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the Supply Chain function activity across our Americas sites.


The Opportunity

Primary focus to drive operational performance reducing inventory and lead-times whilst improving on time delivery, and developing supply chain capabilities .   The role will also be a driving force within the Global Supply Chain Function in developing new tools and processes.


You will be the functional lead for our Americas facilities , defining the company playbook and strategy and then lead and support the deployment within our plants and commercial centres. Scope covers $22.5 M of inventory across 3 factories and 9 subsidiaries in the Americas.


You’ll be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with the other regional supply chain managers in the development and global deployment of material within the Rotork Supply Chain playbook
  • Managing the timeliness and quality of supply-chain metrics reported to the Group
  • Leading root cause analysis and continuous improvement actions around OTD to drive plant performance above a sustainable 95%
  • Developing the supply-chain competency
  • Leading inventory modelling, reporting and action plans to increase stock turns to 7
  • Implementing strategic supply chain improvement tools to manage: OTD improvement, customer lead-time optimisation, inventory reduction, ERP system improvements (D365 & DDMRP), slow and non-moving stock provision release and control, Long-term planning processes (IBP, SIOP, MPS), Product life-cycle management and NPI process improvement & gate decisions
  • Working closely with central Sourcing team to ensure the best Total Cost of ownership supply base, ensuring the correct balance between purchase price, lot-size, lead-time and transport costs
  • Supplier lean development (e.g. use of SMED to reduce batch sizes)
  • Facilitating execution of Global transport & logistics programme within Americas
  • Working in close collaboration with the Rotork Lean team to co-develop a Lean Supply Chain model
  • Co-development of an internal lean materials handling system (making material flow)
  • Supporting the development of legacy mTMS ERP system usage and training, including any system upgrade/replacement projects

Experience Requirements

Required Experience:

  • Supply Chain Management experience covering multi-site (ideally across all Americas region)
  • OEM manufacturing experience
  • Lean methodology knowledge
  • Strong data analysis & capture skills
  • ERP subject matter expert


Desired Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or with appropriate work place experience/qualification
  • Ability to engage a cross-functional team towards a desired outcome
  • Previous experience coordinating complex projects successfully
