Service Control Lead
About the role
Rotork is a global FTSE 250 British Engineering company, the market leading valve actuator manufacturer and flow control and instrumentation company. We are embarking on a multi-year period of exciting change to accelerate the growth of our business and consolidate our world-wide market leadership position. A part of this growth will include our Global IT transformation project replacing a large number of heritage systems with MS Dynamics 365 for ERP, CRM and HR.
As a result, we have an exciting opportunity for a Service Control Lead/Transition Manager to join the business. You will be responsible for collaborating with functional leads and representatives to establish an IT-wide approach to IT service transitions. You will establish transition readiness criteria, determine whether services are fit for purpose and assess readiness against agreed service acceptance criteria and collaborate with Release Managers to ensure that service transition criteria are met and you will also collaborate with Change Managers to determine the readiness level of the impacted groups.
As well as making recommendations on go-live, early life support and service acceptance you will identify and deliver improvements to the Service Transition process. Working with suppliers and the IT team you will ensure the live environment is protected and new services have a fully developed end-to-end support structure, including processes, SLAs and KPIs.
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of a successful and growing business using your previous experience and knowledge in supporting a global user base in a multi-national company.
As a highly driven and self-motivated individual, you will have the ability to make sound decisions quickly and efficiently, able to motivate others in times of change, be customer and business focussed, able to take on new skills and have sound experience of working with all levels of stakeholders. You will have plenty of experience in facilitating the handover of projects into the business as usual production environment.
In return, we will provide you with a great working environment, competitive salary, excellent bonus structure, share schemes, 25 days holiday (with the option to buy up to an additional 5 days or sell up to 5 unused days), private healthcare and free on-site parking.
