Position Summary

Head of Global Transportation & Logistics

Location: Flexible (UK, Italy (Lucca), USA (Rochester, Winston-Salem or Houston), China (Shanghai) or India (Chennai)

 

The Opportunity

 

Development and deployment of a global transport and logistics strategy to optimise freight, duty and 3rd party storage costs whilst supporting market leading lead-times and service levels.  Functional leadership of T&L across all 21 factories and ~40 sales subsidiaries.

Collaboration with Global Trade Compliance and Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) functions to ensure the optimal solution is reached. The Head of Global Transport and Logistics hold the global accountability for the processes, whilst GSS lead the sourcing elements.

This individual will be the subject matter expert to the Transpiration and Logistics for the D365 global ERP system development to maximise efficiency and visibility of Logistics Operations Performance across the Business

 

Experience Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in relevant area, ideally Master’s degree

·         Relevant industry experience

·         Relevant certification

·         Subject matter expert and technical expert in best in class global practices

 

The Successful Candidate Will Be Someone Who:

·         Has developed or had exposure to best in class global and transportation practices
