FAQs

Can Pocket Enlight be used on another mobile operating system other than Windows Mobile?

Pocket Enlight has been developed in a programming environment called LabVIEW, developed by National Instruments. Using a system like LabVIEW means that National Instruments are responsible for maintaining compatibility with the latest windows operating systems rather than us.

Apple Devices - LabVIEW is an interpreted language and because of the way Apple lock down the iPhone they will not permit interpreted languages to be run on one. For this reason we cannot port Pocket Enlight across to an iPhone.

Android Devices - LabVIEW currently does not have a toolkit to port Windows based programs across to Android. This toolkit must be developed and released by National Instruments. It is also difficult to maintain compatibility across many different version of Android running on many different handsets with varied hardware specifications.
