Service Manager, Bath, UK

I joined Rotork in 2004 as an Advanced Modern Apprentice. The structure was clear and challenging, whilst allowing for full exposure to all parts of the business. It was this approach that made me certain of a path in Sales following the end of my Apprenticeship.

The first role I held was ‘International Sales Support Engineer’, based in Bath. This was an extremely varied and interesting role that led into my second role as ‘Area Sales and Service Engineer’, based in Libya, Africa. After returning from Libya I was then given the opportunity to work in both the north and east of England as an ‘Area Sales Engineer’. After three successful years back in the UK I then moved to Australia to take on the role of ‘Area Sales Manager - New South Wales’, based in Sydney. This role further pushed my development on a number of levels and led to my next role as ‘Regional Sales Manager - Queensland & Papua New Guinea’, based in Brisbane.

Following four years in Australia I then returned to the UK to take up my current role of ‘Southern Manager – Rotork UK’, based in Bath. My responsibilities in this role include looking after the Sales, Service and Operations for the southern half of the Rotork UK business whilst managing a team of 57 people across two different sites.

My career path through Rotork has been one filled with challenges, interest and reward. I have been given numerous opportunities over the past 13 years and I believe that starting as an Apprentice has shaped my career in the company and has been fundamental in each and every step I’ve taken from the first to the current to the future.
