Our planet’s surface is 71% water. This translates into approximately two sextillion litres of water which is approximately two hundred billion litres of water for every person on earth.

However, the reality is that one in three people do not have access to clean drinking water, and projections show that, at current trends, more than half of the world’s population will be living in water-stressed areas by the end of the decade.
