Industry challenges we’re determined to address

The engineering and manufacturing sectors continue to face significant representation gaps, especially for women. In the UK, women make up 17% of engineers and 28% of the manufacturing workforce, with 17% of manufacturing apprenticeships held by women. These percentages continue to rise each year, but this still creates real challenges in attracting and retaining female talent.
 

Although these systemic barriers persist, we know that we have an important role in driving lasting change.  So, we continue to take action to address this issue, strengthen diversity at every level, and make Rotork an employer of choice for women in STEM.

3. Growing diverse talent pipelines - We are investing in the next generation: apprentices, graduates, early-career professionals, and underrepresented groups who will help build the future of Rotork.

Rotork places diversity and inclusion at the heart of how we do business, from Board-level governance to everyday workplace behaviours.

• Our Board Diversity & Inclusion Policy reflects the importance of varied perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds in effective leadership.
• We maintain a strong focus on gender and ethnic representation at Board and senior leadership levels and ensure all recruitment processes support unbiased and inclusive hiring.
• Our early careers programmes aim for at least 50% diverse representation, supporting a long-term shift toward more equitable leadership demographics.
• We publicly report both Gender Pay and Ethnicity Pay data to demonstrate transparency and track progress over time.
