Rotork was proud to take part in the Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) Flying Start NL event in Amsterdam and to be selected as the overall Flying Start winner, receiving the Anglo Dutch Award for Enterprise.
The event marked Rotork’s first participation as a member of the NBCC, following its recent decision to join the organisation. While new to the Chamber, Rotork has operated across the Benelux region for more than 50 years and sees clear value in the NBCC’s role in connecting organisations, sharing practical insight and strengthening the UK–Netherlands business ecosystem.
The Flying Start programme is designed to welcome new members and support cross border growth by accelerating introductions and encouraging practical exchange between businesses. Held at PwC’s Amsterdam office, the event brought together a diverse range of NBCC members for a focused and well structured programme of presentations and discussion.
Rotork was delighted to receive the Anglo Dutch Award for Enterprise, which recognises ambition, collaboration and credible execution in cross border business growth. Beyond the award itself, the recognition reflects the importance of clarity of proposition, strong understanding of market dynamics and a clear plan to deliver - all of which were key themes explored during the event.
Rotork extends its thanks to the NBCC team for delivering an engaging and relevant programme, and in particular to Lyne Biewinga for opening the afternoon and reinforcing the importance of strong UK–Netherlands business ties. Thanks also go to PwC for generously hosting the event and providing an excellent setting for discussion and networking.
The session benefited from a broad range of perspectives and open, commercially focused discussion. Congratulations are extended to fellow finalists Fish Tales and Shaken Udder for their high quality pitches, and thanks to all participating companies for contributing to a valuable exchange of ideas.
Rotork also acknowledges the time, insight and constructive feedback provided by the judging panel - Joanna Polak Goodman, Samantha Deane, Costas Papaikonomou and Lyne Biewinga - whose questions highlighted the practical realities of successful cross border execution.
With more than five decades of experience supporting customers in the Benelux region, Rotork remains committed to dependable flow control and long term customer partnerships. Receiving the award represents an encouraging milestone, and Rotork looks forward to continuing its engagement with the NBCC community and contributing to the wider UK–Netherlands business ecosystem.
