Our Commitments

We are working to support UN Sustainable Development Goals 12: Responsible consumption and production and 13: Climate action as part of this pillar of our new sustainability framework. We have set the following strategic commitments to help drive progress:

• We aim to reduce our lost time injury rate each year and strive for a zero harm workplace
• We embed social, ethical and environmental considerations into our Global Supplier Excellence Programme
• We will reduce carbon emissions generated per £1m revenue and continue to develop our net-zero roadmap

Our progress

Health and safety performance
Safety remains the foundation of our operations and culture. We are committed to ensuring the wellbeing and safety of our people and partners by maintaining the highest standards. Our performance in 2025 was broadly in line with 2024, with a lost time injury rate (LTIR) of 0.08 (2024: 0.08) and a total recordable incident rate (TRIR) of 0.24 (2024: 0.22). We will continue to invest in robust systems, continuous training and proactive risk management to work towards our zero harm objective.

Performance against climate targets
We reached significant sustainability milestones in 2025. We are delighted to announce the achievement of our science-based Scope 1 and 2 reduction target. During the year, we cut these emissions by 43% against our 2020 baseline, reflecting substantial progress that outpaced our original plan. To reflect our continued commitment, we are raising our ambition by setting a stretch reduction target of 60% by 2030. This stretch target is ambitious and in line with the SBTi’s forward-looking ambition adjustment guidance.

We also made strides toward our Scope 3 target in 2025. Our Engineering team identified an enhancement that will reduce our YT-1000 positioner’s air consumption by c.30%, resulting in energy and emissions savings. These will contribute towards our target of cutting Scope 3 (Use of sold products) emissions by 25% by 2030.
