Position Summary:

Primarily responsible for the monthly reporting of the financial performance of the Growth Acceleration Programme (GAP). In addition will act as the GAP PMO Finance Business Partner for all workstreams within the GAP programme including the preparation, review and challenge of business cases.

Main Responsibilities:

Operational

  • Coordination and assimilation of multiple data sources for incorporation into GAP Monthly Financials reporting pack
  • Preparation and presentation of GAP Monthly Financials reporting pack
  • Understanding trends and variances within the financial performance of the GAP programme. Writing commentaries and Exec summaries so users can quickly understand key messages for their respective workstreams as well as the Programme as whole
  • Continuous development and improvement of the Monthly Financial pack
  • Act as the Finance business partner for the Global Strategic Sourcing Director, tracking and forecasting benefits
  • Assist and support with the production of all areas of GAP business cases, with a particular focus on the financial modelling and cash flow analysis (NPV, Payback, IRR) including challenging and validating underlying assumptions
  • Preparation of materials/schedules representing GAP financial performance for inclusion in ad-hoc reports to RMB and PLC Board
  • Define and develop methods for tracking benefits of the GAP programme, engaging with stakeholders, obtaining buy in and sign off

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Responsible for the production of budgets and forecasts for the PMO cost centre. Liaising with the PMO Director to understand future needs of the team and the financial impacts on those needs
  • Ensure the Growth Acceleration benefits are reflected at the appropriate level (I.e. site, division, group) within the overall Group budget
  • Be able to accurately forecast the benefits of the GAP Programme throughout the year using knowledge of the business and thinking practically

Other

  • Drive sharing of best practice throughout the project management office and the division
  • Be an effective member of the broader GAP PMO team

Core Competencies:

  • Membership of a recognised accountancy professional body, i.e. ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • At least 3 years PQE
  • Experience of acting as a business partner
  • Candidate will have experience in project business case development and tracking, and driving continuous improvement in financial reporting processes
