Field Service Technician

Position Summary:

The Opportunity

The primary role of the Field Service Technician is to install, inspect, maintenance, repair actuators and commission associated equipment in customer’s plant/site. The role involves providing a prompt and effective service to resolve customer issues as they arise and may require 50-75% travel.

The position will also carry out inspections, health checks and PPM work on Rotork or other brand actuators in order to carry out mechanical and electrical installation of actuators and associated retrofit adaption components, pedestals and drive shafts.

Additionally, the position will complete site visit reports for jobs and promotes the capabilities of Rotork and Rotork Site Service to identify opportunities and deliver incremental sales.

 

Experience Requirements

  • Technical experience and/or relevant knowledge of valves, actuators and digital control systems 
  • Good understanding of basic electronics, electrical and fluid power theories
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and utilization of common test and calibration tools
  • Demonstrates an above average mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Operate motor vehicle including long distances. Sometimes includes flying

 

The Successful Candidate Will Be Someone Who:

  • Demonstrates an above average mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Is able to lift 50lbs/23kg from floor to bench and work in diverse/hazardous locations
