Group HSE Specialist - 6 month FTC

Position Summary:

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE specialist to take responsibility for supporting the day-to-day implementation of the company’s HSE policy and procedures through supporting the HSE Leadership team in coordinating and fulfilling central HSE reporting requirements and building common HSE practices.

You will support the business by providing knowledge and skills in order to promote a positive HSE culture. You will liaise between Global HSE activity, Rotork HQ and HSE leadership and support the development global frameworks and practices.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of HSE procedures and work instructions, ensuring that rules or procedures are understood, followed, and that the appropriate control measures are applied
  • Supporting the business in Continuous Improvement of the HSE management system and risk reduction programs
  • Co-ordination of HSE improvement programmes and maintenance of improvement actions database
  • Supporting the investigation of incidents by providing technical knowledge and identifying ways of preventing reoccurrence and providing active learning for other areas of the business
  • Supporting waste reduction and emission monitoring programs
  • Supporting the HSE Management system audit programs
  • Establishing and maintaining adequate documentation and records relating to all HSE activities

About You

To be considered for the Group HSE Specialist role you’ll be able to work analytically and in a structured manner, both independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team. You’ll have good communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working with minimal supervision, taking responsibility for organising your own workload.

You’ll also have:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate. Ideally you will also be working towards NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • A background in either a manufacturing or construction environment
  • A working understanding of ISO14001, ISO45001 / OHSAS18001 or ISO50001
  • Experience in auditing management systems
  • IEMA certificate – Associate or above

A working knowledge of Energy Reduction Programs and training as a Lead Auditor are highly desirable.
