Position Summary

The Opportunity 

• Providing commercially focussed legal support to Rotork’s entities across APAC. Ensuring that the business is compliant with all laws and applicable regulations and is conducting its business ethically, whilst mitigating legal risk
• To include:

1.  Reports to Group General Counsel & Company Secretary, and work closely with peers in Group Legal function team, so far no subordinate
2.  Be the primary legal point of contact for Rotork’s businesses and personnel in the APAC region, including for all corporate and contractual matters and disputes occurring within the region, and provide responsive, pragmatic and commercially focussed legal support and advice to Rotork’s local subsidiaries within APAC and key stakeholders in the business

 

Experience Requirements:

• Substantial experience including some in-house in an international business including in the region, ideally in a stock exchange listed company
• Corporate or commercial contracts expertise
• Training at a high-quality international law firm
• Experience developing and embedding a legal strategy and/or a legal compliance programme in APAC

 

The Successful Candidate Will Be Someone Who:

• Qualified lawyer
• Have the highest standards of ethics and integrity
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the gravitas to operate effectively at a senior leader level
• Flexible approach to work and an energetic, proactive ‘can-do’ attitude, not only strategic, but also could be hands-on
• Good attention to detail
• Pragmatic in approach, business-focused and able to make the complex simple
