Inside Sales Engineer

Position Summary:

About the role:

We’re looking for a results-driven, commercially minded Inside Sales Engineer to work alongside the External Sales Team and respond to customer's requests for quote. You will need to quickly understand the existing and new products available for the market and work to cross sell these products in response to a customer's definition of requirement or specification. You will be expected to learn how to use the bespoke systems and configurators available to ultimately send a quote to a customer which will include a product code, description, drawings, lead time and price. You will then liaise with the External Sales Person and Customer to convert the quote to order or understand why we did not win the order, thus improving the chances to convert next time. Once the order is received, you will process this and communicate throughout its lifecycle with the customer.

About you:

You will be commercially minded with a good understanding of engineering either from an educational background or industry experience. As someone who is driven to progress their career and provide excellent customer service, you’ll be able to communicate to people of all levels face to face, on the phone or via email and be proactive in your customer service approach.

We are particularly interested in people with experience of pumps and valves and their applications and the ability to understand the product, how to size it to provide accurate pricing and quotes for customers using a variety of computerised systems e.g. configurators, excel, Solid Edge etc.
