About the Position

Responsible for driving the customer business by coordination and completion of the project on time, quality and within budget. Set deadlines and summarize progress of projects and prepare reports for upper management regarding status of the project. Responsible for working with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. This position reports to the General Manager in Mexico

Job Responsibilities

  • Driving customer business
  • Act as the project leader and main point of contact, both for internal and external clients (subcontractors, internal company departments, and the external client)
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project
  • Drive and ensure the projects timelines, deliverables and budget is within expectations and forecasts
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant departments and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to General Manager as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and internal departments
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
  • Meet with client, as necessary, to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of the project
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
  • Work alongside the Engineering, Purchasing and Services departments to drive the project
  • Ensure Quality (per the client expectations), cost (based on forecasts) and deadlines are met

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study
  • Experience working with PEMEX or a governmet entity as a client
  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience with driving customer business in a customer facing project management role
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

Desired Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
