The importance of electric actuation in Carbon Capture and Storage

In an ideal world, all our energy would derive from renewable, carbon-neutral sources. Currently, according to National Geographic, over 80% of our energy comes from fossil fuels that, when burnt, further exacerbate our current climate emergency. CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) is one potential solution to this problem.

By extracting carbon dioxide (CO2) from point sources, such as the flue gas pipes, and burying it, carbon capture and storage (CCS) provides options for achieving climate objectives. While the energy being produced from traditional hydrocarbons and industries like chemical processes produce carbon in huge quantities, governments are providing incentives to engage in carbon extraction.
